Bill Boring ran W.R. Boring Piano Service in Lynchburg, Virginia, from 1984 until his passing in November 2024. For more than forty years he tuned, repaired, rebuilt, and moved pianos for families, churches, and musicians across the area.
Customers and fellow technicians remembered him as cheerful, skilled, and willing to take on the tough jobs — especially player pianos — that others turned down.
His work and the company he built laid the foundation for the tradition we continue today at The Piano Guyz. We honor his legacy and the lasting impact he left on this community.
